One person died after they were dragged under the vehicle that crashed into the home, and two more people were injured.
One person was killed and two others were injured Wednesday afternoon after a car crashed into a garage in Leicester, according to authorities.
At about 1:40 p.m., fire crews and EMS responded to a report of a person trapped under a vehicle in the area of 6 Homestead Lane, according to Boston 25 News. They found a person at the scene stuck under a black sedan which had driven into the garage.
The person trapped under the vehicle was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, Boston 25 News reported. Their identity has not yet been released by the Worcester County District Attorney’s office.
Two more people who were also struck by the car were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver remained on the scene as police investigated, according to Boston 25 News.
Leicester police detectives, State Police detectives, and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council are currently investigating the incident.
