19-year-old seriously injured, allegedly jumped on vehicle in Duxbury

The Pembroke man had reportedly gone to his ex-girlfriend’s residence to confront her current boyfriend.

A 19-year-old Pembroke man jumped onto the hood of a car in Duxbury on Wednesday and then was thrown from the moving vehicle, witnesses told police.

Around 5:22 a.m., Duxbury police responded to a report of a man who may have been struck by a vehicle on Chandler Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the 19-year-old, whose name has not been released, lying in the roadway with serious injuries. The man, whose condition is unknown at this time, was medflighted to a hospital for treatment, police say.

Witnesses told police that the man went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence on Chandler Street to confront her current boyfriend. He then jumped on the car during an ensuing altercation.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. No charges have been filed, police say.
