You’ll find them in Massachusetts and Maine.

Hallmark Christmas movies are full of picture-perfect decorations and feel-good vibes and two New England destinations could easily be featured in one, according to FamilyVacationist.com.
The website released a list of 10 holiday destinations that feel straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie and included Nantucket in Massachusetts and Kennebunkport in Maine.
“Live life like a movie in these charming cities and towns with lots of holiday cheer,” wrote the website.
Kennebunkport hosts its annual “Christmas Prelude,” an 11-day celebration of Christmas happening this year Dec. 4-14.
“Named America’s # 2 Christmas Town by HGTV, Kennebunkport turns up the New England charm at Christmastime,” wrote the website. “The town’s 11-day Christmas Prelude event includes tree lightings, caroling at St. Anthony’s Franciscan Monastery, a street festival, and Santa’s arrival by lobster boat.”
Other Hallmark-worthy events happening in Kennebunkport this season, according to the site: ice skating at the Waterhouse Center, festive treats at Mornings in Paris cafe, and hand-tied wreath workshops at Snug Harbor Farm.
For overnight accommodations, the website recommends the Kennebunkport Inn with the “over-the-top” Tinsel Bar at The Burleigh Restaurant or Cape Arundel Inn & Resort.

Nantucket hosts its annual Christmas Stroll, taking place this year Dec. 5-7.
“The island of Nantucket is a lovely place to visit during the summer. But it’s equally appealing in the winter, when a tree lighting ceremony marks the start of the holiday season and an annual Christmas Stroll weekend at the beginning of December includes the arrival of Santa by boat, roaming carolers in Victorian garb, a European-style Christmas marketplace, and other seasonal activities,” wrote the website.
Other movie-like elements on Nantucket include the island’s cedar-shingled buildings, cobblestoned streets, lighthouses, and its annual Festival of Trees at the Whaling Museum, according to the site.
As for where to stay, the website recommends the Nantucket Hotel for its festive decor and holiday meals and the Greydon House for its “stylish” guest houses.
