Two skiers were lost on Mt. Moosilauke on Saturday after low visibility and high winds caused blizzard-like conditions, said the Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team.

New Hampshire Fish and Game received a call around 5 p.m. that two skiers were off trail on Mt. Moosilauke, said the search and rescue team.

Conservation Officers and PemiSAR used snowmobiles and went four miles up the mountain, before hiking through the woods on snowshoes for 1.5 miles, said the search and rescue team.

Officers reached the skiers at 11 p.m. and returned the skiers safely by 2 a.m, said the rescue team.
