“Not how we wanted it to end but still thanking God for this incredible season”

Ann Michael Maye, wife of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, made an Instagram post expressing her feelings about the end of the Patriots’ season.
She shared a message of gratitude and encouragement. The Patriots made it to Super Bowl LX, but lost 29-13 to the Seahawks last Sunday.
“Not how we wanted it to end but still thanking God for this incredible season ❤️,” Ann Michael Maye wrote. “We are blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people, who made this season what it was. This is only the beginning.”
After a rough start, Drake Maye set a Super Bowl record for most passing yards in a quarter (235). The game was well out of reach by then, as Seattle shut the Patriots out for the first three quarters of the game while compiling a healthy lead. The second-year Patriots quarterback said he couldn’t feel his throwing shoulder much, because it had been injected with painkillers.
It was tough end to a remarkable season. The Patriots made it to the Super Bowl one season after finishing 4-13.
Drake Maye said he’s looking forward to spending time with Ann Michael as he rests during the offseason.
“I have a beautiful wife. I look forward to spending this offseason with my wife,” he said. “That is kind of my first thought. That is going to be the highlight of my offseason, I can tell you that.”
Ann Michael went viral for her “Bakemas” videos during the season, which involved her sharing recipes for sweet treats. During one of the episodes, Will Campbell gave her cinnamon rolls a “12 out of 10” rating. Several Patriots players were also asked about the treats during Super Bowl week.
She has built a following of her own, and Drake Maye says it’s been fun being a part of the journey. He said being married is one of the best things about his life.
“It’s been awesome to follow her journey,” Drake Maye said. “I know I was looking forward to her getting up here. Obviously, after we got married, she came up here and had never lived up north, hadn’t seen this much snow on the ground. So, it’s been an adjustment for her, but she’s loved it.
“She loves the people up here. She loves living up here. She loves the support, and she’s got her own little journey that’s been awesome. She’s just being herself, and that’s the best thing about her, and that’s what I love her for.
