If you bought a Powerball ticket in Marlborough last year, you may want to read this.

A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 has remained unclaimed since last November, and the winner has just a few days left before the prize expires.
According to state lottery officials, the winning Quic Pic ticket was purchased at New Capital Farms Convenience Store on Boston Post Road in East Marlborough ahead of the Nov. 20, 2024, drawing.
Powerball prize winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes, which means this ticket’s mystery winner has until Nov. 20 to come forward.
The winning numbers are 16-30-60-62-64, with a Powerball of 25. The ticket was purchased for a drawing that featured a jackpot of over $155 million, which eventually grew to $256 million. A winner hit that jackpot on Dec. 7, 2024, with a ticket sold in New York.
If the winner doesn’t come forward in time, the expired prize money will go back to the state for distribution to Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns, according to lottery officials.
Lottery winners can claim prizes of up to $103,000 at Lottery claim centers in Braintree, Dorchester, Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester.
Powerball drawings take place three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Each play costs $2. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 69, along with one Powerball number from 1 to 26. A Quick Pick option is also available for random number selection.
Tickets matching all five main numbers win $1 million, while those matching four of the five numbers plus the Powerball earn a $50,000 prize.
