The book compilation has more than 35 titles, with one from former Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett.
The Seattle Public Library gave the Boston Public Library some Seattle-themed book recommendations after the Patriots fell to the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX on Sunday.
Some of the books make a cheeky dig at the New England football team.
One of the 35 recommended reads include “Inflation,” a guide to inflation and how to combat it, written by two political economists Mark Blyth and Nicolö Fraccaroli.
“Though we are divided by football, we are always on the same team in supporting the freedom to read,” the BPL wrote in a Facebook post.
The Seattle Public Library made sure to note that the book is solely about inflation and not at all related to anything deflating.
Other titles are “Things That Make White People Uncomfortable,” a memoir by former Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett.
“Bennett’s book proves he can tackle the ills of society as capably as he tackles quarterbacks,” the Seattle Public Library wrote.
According to ESPN, Bennett racked up 69.5 sacks in his NFL career.
A children’s book written by Maggie Rudd titled “Sometimes It’s Hard to Be Nice” is also recommended.
“No one likes to lose, but don’t be mean,” the Seattle based library said.
Speaking of losers, “Loser,” by Clark Humphrey made it onto the list. The book is not about the Patriots’ loss, but discusses the early Seattle punk rock music scene.
Both libraries are teammates in Books Unbanned, an initiative “supporting the rights of teens nationwide to read what they like without censorship,” the BPL said.
