Travis Ross, 31, was arrested Thursday after allegedly pointing a gun at a cyclist during a road rage incident on Jan. 7.

An Avon man was arrested Thursday following an armed road rage incident on Jan. 7, Medway police said.

Travis Ross, 31, was arrested on two counts of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon after he nearly hit a cyclist with his Cadillac, police said.

“The operator of the vehicle then stopped, pointed a handgun at the victim, and fled the area,” police said.

Medway police used traffic surveillance videos, license plate reader technology, and a witness to validate the report and locate Ross, police said.

Avon and Medway police, with the Metro LEC SWAT Team, arrested Ross and found a loaded 9mm handgun and additional ammunition, police said.

Ross was booked and bail was set at $500 with the condition that Ross has no contact with the victim and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, police said.

Ross’s next court date is scheduled for early March, police said.
