Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding will likely be one of the biggest events of the year, if the 37 million likes on their engagement post are any indication. Even better, the A-lister event might be happening right here in New England.

Multiple sources reportedly told Page Six that the couple is planning to wed at Rhode Island hotel Ocean House on June 13. The report also included that Swift paid a couple to take their wedding spot, something Stephanie Leavitt, the sales and marketing director for Ocean House, told The Boston Globe was not accurate.

“Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date,” Leavitt told the Globe.

What is Taylor Swift’s connection to Rhode Island? 

Swift has been a Rhode Island home owner for over a decade. She purchased a mansion located in Westerly, Rhode Island, worth $17.75 million, in 2013 and it even got a shoutout in her 2020 song “The Last Great American Dynasty” from her album “Folklore.”

The 11,000-square-foot home in the Watch Hill neighborhood boasts eight bedrooms and 700 feet of private beach front. Fans may have seen the mansion as the backdrop for Swift’s famous Fourth of July parties, Blake Lively’s birthday party, and where Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper reportedly stayed to get some privacy two years ago. Earlier this year, permits filed with the town of Westerly showed that Swift planned on $1.7 million worth of renovations for the property.

What is Ocean House? 

Ocean House is nothing if not highly acclaimed — it’s also very close to Swift’s mansion in Watch Hill. The luxury beachfront hotel was just named among the 2025 Icons List from the Forbes Travel Guide.

“Today, 69 rooms and suites are adorned with custom wood furnishings and coastal-cool hues, a spa provides Five-Star pampering and Five-Star Coast restaurant offers the same spectacular waterfront views that first drew vacationers more than 150 years ago,” wrote the publication.

The hotel is also “the first and only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel in the state,” according to the Ocean House website. Prices for a single night range from around $600 to more than $1,500.

The hotel, which is more than 150 years old, was rebuilt from the ground up over a decade ago due to its crumbling structure, but still boasts ocean views and Victorian-era decor. In 2022, it opened up two new restaurants and a terrace bar. It also offers a creperie, Champagne bar, and luxury spa, among its many perks.

How likely is a Rhode Island wedding?

Given the property’s several guest rooms and suites, Swift would likely rent out the property in its entirety for privacy. While the weekend of June 13 was available for booking until recently, amidst rumors of Swift’s wedding, it is now sold out as of this publication. Neither Ocean House, Swift, or Kelce have confirmed the couple’s wedding date or location. Swift is also known to sign non-disclosure agreements with businesses. Boston.com reached out to Taylor Swift’s publicist, but did not hear back in time for publication.

Shawn Lacey, Westerly’s Town Manager wrote in an email to Boston.com that “we have not received confirmation as of yet, once it is confirmed we will start the preparation process.”
