Two leading airlines at Logan International Airport are all about safety, according to AirlineRatings.com.

Delta Air Lines is among the 25 safest full-service airlines for 2026, and JetBlue is among the 25 safest low-cost airlines for 2026, according to AirlineRatings.com, an airline safety and product rating website that monitors 320 airlines.

AirlineRatings.com annually names the safest airlines, using factors such as fleet age, serious incidents, incident rates adjusted for the total number of flights, pilot training, and international safety audits.

JetBlue ranked No. 14 among the safest low-cost airlines (No. 1 was Hong Kong-based HK Express) and Delta ranked No. 23 among the safest full-service airlines (No. 1 was Etihad, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates).

“One change for this year is that we are placing a greater emphasis on turbulence prevention, as it remains the leading cause of in-flight injuries,” said CEO Sharon Petersen about the ranking, in a statement.

Therefore, Airline Ratings took into account an airline’s participation in the IATA Turbulence Aware program, as well as the Airline Ratings onboard safety audit, according to Peterson.

The margins are narrow between the world’s safest airlines, so small numerical differences should not be considered gaps in safety, Peterson noted.
