A man was injured in a hit-and-run while dining outside on Monday morning, according to Boston police.

Police received a report of a pedestrian being struck at the intersection of State and Broad streets in downtown at 11:17 a.m.

Officers arrived at the scene where a 51-year-old man was being treated by EMS for nonlife-threatening injuries. The victim declined further medial treatment, police said.

The vehicle reportedly failed to make a U-turn and pushed a barrier into the man. The driver stopped briefly before fleeing the scene, according to police.

The investigation into the hit-and-run remains ongoing, and the identity of the driver is unknown at this time.
