Celebs
The host and guest star traded barbs Friday night, an all-too-familiar situation for them as part of their decades-long farcical feud.

Friday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” added another chapter in the saga of Matt Damon’s longstanding comical feud with the host.
Damon gatecrashed his way onto the show disguised as Frankie Focus, a mascot introduced last month by New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to promote the state’s new smartphone restriction policy in schools for distraction-free learning. After the “hot green sewer Labubu” lobbed insults at Kimmel, however, the show’s host grew suspicious.
Turns out it was none other than Damon under the mask, much to the audience’s excitement and surprise. Kimmel, on the other hand, was merely chagrined, telling the crowd to stop cheering and accusing Damon of breaking and entering.
It didn’t take long for Kimmel to start pointing fingers right back at “Dunkin’ Dumbass,” calling him a “furry” and asking him if the costume was a “sex thing.” Damon responded with a monologue claiming that he wanted to be there for Kimmel’s “last show ever.”
After letting Damon get emotional, Kimmel broke the news to him that it wasn’t actually his last show. To say Damon was disappointed is an understatement.
“No, but the president cancelled you, which I was a big fan of, by the way,” Damon said. “I mean, when he said you had, like, zero ratings and no talent, I was like, ‘I’ve been saying that for years!’”
Kimmel informed Damon that he was back on the air for good after being taken off for three nights. In his outrage, the star let loose some classic Boston cursing.
“Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” Kimmel asked.
“No, I kiss your mother,” Damon shot back, calling out to Kimmel’s mother, who was in the audience and looked less than pleased about it.
Before long, Kimmel was shooing Damon off the set so he could talk to “real movie stars” like Tom Hanks. As Damon walked out with Kimmel’s mother, he had one last quip.
“I was lying about the costume,” Damon said. “It is a sex thing.”
