“SNL” returned to the air for the 11th episode of its 51st season on Saturday, Jan. 24, with “One Battle After Another” actress Teyana Taylor as host and rock band Geese as musical guest.

Taylor is riding high following her recent Golden Globes win and her Oscar nomination for her work in Paul Thomas Anderson’s film. In fact, as Taylor revealed in her opening monologue, she was sitting at “Saturday Night Live” getting fitted for a bald cap when she found out she was nominated.

“One Battle After Another” popped up later in the show as well, with Taylor appearing in a mock kids’ toy commercial that features highly inappropriate action figures for children of any age.

If all this awards season talk wasn’t enough, audiences were treated to a fake awards show devoted to Donald Trump during the political cold open. While Trump (James Austin Johnson) won most of the awards, even stealing one from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, he did leave one statue for Elon Musk (Mike Myers).
