An alleged Ticketmaster typo had fans boiling after an upcoming Olivia Dean concert at Boston’s TD Garden was priced more than 14 times the actual ticket cost.

Ticketmaster has since apologized and handed out refunds after the typo inflated the ticket price from $53 to $753, according to a USA Today report.

A concertgoer shared screenshots of the sky-high-priced tickets along with a view of the lengthy queue, which had them at number 24,161 in line.

“Raise ur hand if ur not seeing Olivia Dean next year,” fan @tpwkayden wrote in a Nov. 18 X post. “Ticketmaster…charges insane prices and lets bots buy out the whole venue.”

After getting wind of the discrepancy, Ticketmaster responded by saying the price was a typo, but has since been updated to the correct figure. The company also said they automatically issued refunds for the difference.

In a Nov. 21 post to her Instagram story, the singer-songwriter called out Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation for “providing a disgusting service” and apologized to her fans.

“I’m sorry that there seems to be an issue with ticket re-selling and pricing. My team are currently looking into it,” Dean said. “It is extremely frustrating as the last thing I want is for anyone to be scammed or overcharged for our show. Please be wary of buying tickets in the comment sections, as it is most likely a scam.”

Addressing Ticketmaster, Dean said, “The prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes … live music should be affordable and accessible, and we need to find a new way of making that possible. BE BETTER.”

Ticketmaster has faced significant backlash over its ticket sales and frustrating user experience.

In 2022, its system crashed during the presale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, leaving millions of fans unable to buy tickets. Swift spoke out about the debacle, saying, “I’m not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could.”

That same year, fans of rock legend Bruce Springsteen were appalled when Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” system jacked up ticket prices to around $5,000.

In May 2024, the Justice Department filed an antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster and Live Nation, accusing them of illegally dominating the live-events industry and driving up ticket prices.

Dean is set to perform at the TD Garden on Aug. 10, 2026, as part of her The Art Of Loving Live tour. Tickets are sold out.
