New England Patriots
“That’s the way Tom feels. I got a big a** dog in the race,” Bruschi said. “I’m telling you that right now.”

Despite spending 20 years as the Patriots’ quarterback, Tom Brady appears to be staying neutral as far as his rooting interests for the Super Bowl LX matchup between the Patriots and Seahawks.
Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane said Brady’s comments made him sick, and some of Brady’s former teammates have called him out for saying that he doesn’t have a dog in the fight.
During an interview with WEEI, Patriots Hall of Famer Tedy Bruschi made it clear that he does not feel the same way as Brady about the game.
“That’s the way Tom feels. I got a big a** dog in the race,” Bruschi said. “I’m telling you that right now.”
Bruschi cited his friendship with coach Mike Vrabel as one of the reasons why he’s pulling for the Patriots.
“That’s my boy right there. Vrabel is an eight-year teammate, like a brother of mine. I mean, all of us, really. We’ve got a dog in the fight. My dog is big and I’m cheering for him. The last couple of weeks on NFL Countdown I was like ‘put my pick up’ guys, you know who I’m picking because there’s no other way I’m going.”
Bruschi said he “loved” the way they Patriots have been playing. The Patriots have allowed the fewest points (8.7) and yards per game (209.7) this postseason.
“Why I love this team so much is whatever game they’re in, they know how to win,” Bruschi said. “You need them to block a field-goal, somebody is going to block a field-goal. You need to score on defense, they’ve scored on defense. You need Drake [Maye] to make a play on fourth down, go ahead and do it. They’ve done it.”
Bruschi sees similarities between this Patriots team and the one that captured the franchise’s first title 24-years ago.
“It’s 2001, it is, and I told [Vrabel] this. He’s like ‘no man, I can’t do that,” Bruschi said. “But I said, you know what? I see K’Lavon Chaisson hitting CJ Stroud, and the ball going in the air, and then Marcus Jones going for it back for a pick-six and I see you on Kurt Warner hitting him in the face and then Ty Law taking it. He was like ‘oh [expletive] I guess so.’”
