We recently hit the Boston Common to see what Bostonians are listening to — and the soundtrack of the season is mellow, reflective, and perfect for a day among falling leaves.

Colin Duff was vibing to Taylor Swift’s “illicit affairs.”

“It’s kind of just like a fall feel song — calm, everything’s kind of dying, hibernating, just kind of of restarting,” he said.

Laryssa White took a break from work with The Cranberries’ “Linger.”

“I think its very nostalgic and it’s a song that everyone likes to listen to around this time of year,” she said.

Alexandria Falvo, who was reading on a bench by the lagoon, brought classical vibes with Johannes Brahms’ “6 Klavierstücke Op.118.”

“It’s great to listen to while reading in the park,” said Falvo.

From Swift to Brahms, Bostonians are setting the mood for fall—one song at a time.
